ab8592 staining Desmin in mouse pericytes (xenograft tumor tissue) by ICC/IF (Immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence). Cells were fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 1% BSA for 30 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/400 in PBS + goat serum) for 18 hours at 4°C. ab8592 was used to stain mouse prostate.
ab8592 staining infarcted rat tissue sections by IHC-P. Myocardial infarction was produced in a rat model following ligation of left anterior descending coronary artery. The tissue was harvested 4 weeks after this, fixed with Histochoice for 72 hr, paraffin sectioned and the slide was then baked. ab8592 was incubated overnight at 4°C and an Alexa-Fluor ® 488 donkey anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary. The image shows desmin expressing (green) native cardic myocytes and vascular smooth muscle cells at the infarct border zone of the heart tissue counterstained nuclei (DAPI-blue). Note the desmin filaments are localized predominantly in the Z-bands in the cardiac muscle cells. In the smooth muscle cells, desmin has a cytoplasmic localization (associated with cytoplasmic dense bodies and subplasmalemmal dense plaques).See Abreview
