An experiment to determine the levels of frataxin in human samples. Transformed B lymphocyte cells from Friedreich's Ataxia samples, due to a stable homozygous GAA repeat insertion, are compared to heterozygous carrier B-lymphocyte cells and control B-lymphocyte cells. A standard curve was created as described in the protocol. B lymphocyte extracts were analyzed at 0.2 mg/mL (10µg/well) and frataxin concentrations were interpolated from the standard curve.
