R1217-3b - CO (C) Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal
|
Quantity: 100 ul Application: WB
Predicted I Observed M.W.: 42 I 54 kDa Uniprot ID: Q39057
Background:
Zinc finger protein CONSTANS (CO) is a putative transcription factor that acts in the long day flowering pathway and may mediate between the circadian clock and the control of flowering. CO plays a role in the regulation of flowering time by acting on 'SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CO1', 'TERMINAL FLOWER 1' and 'FLOWERING LOCUS T'. CO also regulates P5CS2 and ACS10, which is involved in proline and ethylene biosynthesis, respectively.
Other Names:
Zinc finger protein CONSTANS
Source and Purity:
Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of arabidopsis thaliana CO (At5g15840). Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
Storage Buffer and Condition:
Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
Species Specificity:
Arabidopsis thaliana
Tested Applications:
WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)
*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
Product Data:
Fig 1. Western blot analysis of equal amounts of protein extracts [Cat# L1217]from wild type (WT) or CO-deficient mutant (co-9) arabidopsis leaves harvested either 12 h or 20 h post light stimulation under the long-day photoperiod condition, using anti-CO (C) (R1217-3b) at RT for 2 h. CO (54 kD, indicated by *) andubiquitinated CO proteins were detected at 12 h, but not 20 h as previously reported [reviewed by Andres & Coupland, Nat Rev Genet, 2012, 13:627-39]. The same filters were re-probed with a non-relevant ab for loading controls. |
