SEE ALSO...

p-c-Abl Antibody (7.Tyr 412) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal p-c-Abl antibody (also designated p-c-Abl antibody or ABL1 antibody) that detects Tyr 412 phosphorylated c-Abl of human origin by WB, IP and ELISA. p-c-Abl Antibody (7.Tyr 412) is available as both conjugated and non-conjugated anti-p-c-Abl antibody forms. The Abl oncogene was initially identified as the viral transforming gene of Abelson murine leukemia virus (A-MuLV). The major translational product of c-Abl has been identified as a protein with tyrosine kinase activity and an SH2 domain. The Abl oncogene is implicated in several human leukemias including 90-95% of chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML), 20-25% of adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and 2-5% of pediatric ALL. In these leukemias the c-Abl proto-oncogene undergoes a (9;22) chromosomal translocation producing the Philadelphia (Ph1) chromosome. The molecular consequence of this trans-location is the generation of a chimeric Bcr/c-Abl mRNA encoding activated Abl protein-tyrosine kinase. The Bcr gene has been shown to encode a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) specific for the Ras-related GTP-binding protein, p21rac.

Is this antibody specific for the phosphorylated protein, and will not cross-react with the non-phosphorylated form of the protein?

Asked by: TinTin
Yes. p-c-Abl (7.Tyr 412): sc-293130 is specific for p-c-Abl phosphorylated at Tyr 412. The antibody has been validated through a series Western blot experiments using lambda phosphatase treated lysates to demonstrate phospho-specificity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for WBI only tried for WB and works very good. I used 1:1,000 dilution in BSA 5% on at 4. I also used the total c-Abl antibody and was very good too.
