CLN3 Antibody (C-1) is an IgG2b κ mouse monoclonal CLN3 antibody (also designated CLN3 antibody) that detects the CLN3 protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. CLN3 Antibody (C-1) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-CLN3 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-CLN3 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLN3 is a highly glycosylated, hydrophobic, 438-amino acid protein with 6 transmembrane domains. The CLN3 protein localizes to the lysosomal membrane and plays a role in lysosomal function. It may act as a chaperone involved in the folding and unfolding of other proteins, namely subunit C of the ATP synthase complex. Mutations in the CLN3 gene cause Batten disease, a recessively inherited neurodegenerative disorder of childhood caused by lysosomal accumulation of hydrophobic material, mainly ATP synthase subunit C. Batten disease is the most common form of a group of disorders known as neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses (NCLs). Symptoms of Batten disease include progressive loss of vision, seizures, and psychomotor disturbances.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398192 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bands but not sure of size? This worked for Western Blot as it was showing bands. However, we are not sure if it is specific of the CLN3 size peptides. This also worked with the blocking peptide for CLN3 from Santa Cruz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well for westernblotsI applied a sample two weeks ago and detect the CLN3 in HEK293T cells in western blot. It works very well, the band is very clear and specific.
