SEE ALSO...

Dynamin Antibody (E-11) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal Dynamin antibody (also designated Dynamin antibody) that detects the Dynamin protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. Dynamin Antibody (E-11) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-Dynamin antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-Dynamin antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Members of the dynamin family, including Dynamin I and Dynamin II, are GTPase, microtubule-associated proteins which are involved in endocytosis, synaptic transmission and neurogenesis. Dynamin I is localized to the central nervous system, while Dynamin II exhibits ubiquitous distribution with highest expression found in testis. Both dynamin proteins contain SH3 and proline-rich domains that mediate interactions between the dynamins and effectors of their GTPase activity. The interactions with these effectors, which include microtubules, acidic phospholipids and SH3 domain-containing proteins, are required for rapid endocytosis. Dynamin I appears to be recruited to clathrin coated pits by SH3 domain interaction with amphiphysin, a protein highly expressed in brain.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with Dynamin (E-11): sc-17807 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ENDOGENOUS DYNAMIN DETECTION (HEK-293T cells)sc-17807 specifically recognizes endogenous dynamin in HEK-293T cells. Detection was made using 1:500 antibody dilution for 16 hours at 4C to probe samples originating from HEK-293T whole cell lysates. Samples were analyzed on 12% SDS-PAGE. IRDye 800WC was used as a secondary fluorescent antibody captured on LiCOR Odyssey XL.
