Description : | Hemoglobin is the major component of red blood cells, and is responsible for their red color. Its normal concentration in erythrocytesis 34%. Hemoglobin is the most important respiratory protein of vertebrates by virtue of its ability to transport oxygen from the lungs to body tissues, and to facilitate the return transport of carbon dioxide. |
Form : | lyophilized powder |
Applications : | Hemoglobin A0 was used to see how coronary intraplaque hemorrhage evokes a novel atheroprotective macrophage phenotype. It was used inthe determination of fetal hemoglobin by time-resolved immunofluorometric assay. It is suitable for electrophoresis and chromatographystandard (has not been tested for functional equivalence against native preparations (unlyophilized ferrous hemoglobins).) |
Storage : | Store at −20°C. |
Reconstitution : | When reconstituted with buffer, gives >85% ferrous hemoglobin. |
