Description

Introduction
GMDS is a member of the GDP-mannose 4,6-dehydratase family. GMDS uses NADP as a cofactor to catalyze the conversion of GDP-mannose to GDP-4-keto-6-deoxymannose. Defects in the gene encoding GMDS cause TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand)-induced apoptosis.

Source: E. coli-derived.
A single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 392 amino acids (1-372) and having a molecular mass of 44.1 kDa. GMDS is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The GMDS solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1 mM DTT, 0.1 M NaCl, 0.1 mM PMSF and 30% glycerol.
