Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Controls normal photoperiodic flowering and regulates circadian rhythms. Required for suppression of photomorphogenesis in dark-grown seedlings and for normal elongation growth of adult plants. Integral component of the COP1/SPA E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. Involved in HY5, HFR1, LAF1 and CO degradation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The WD-repeat domain of SPA1 is necessary for the interaction between SPA1 and COL12. PMID: 29187570
  2. The N-terminal kinase-like domain is primarily responsible for the respective light-responsiveness of SPA1 and SPA2. PMID: 27444995
  3. these results provide insights into SPA1- and MYC2-mediated transcriptional regulation of the Z- and G-box containing promoters in light signaling pathways. PMID: 23646119
  4. CRY2 directly interacts with SPA1 in nuclei PMID: 22739826
  5. SPA1 Is Required for the CRY2-Mediated Photoperiodic Regulation of Floral Initiation. PMID: 21514160
  6. demonstrated the genetic and molecular relationships of MYC2 and SPA1 in light and JA (jasmonic acid) signaling pathways. Here, we have further shown the genetic interactions between these two proteins in flowering time and lateral root development PMID: 21512327
  7. CRY1 interacts physically with SPA1 in a blue-light-dependent manner. PMID: 21511872
  8. SPA1 acts in the phloem to regulate seedling de-etiolation, leaf expansion and flowering time. PMID: 21447551
  9. SPA1 and SPA2 proteins are rapidly de-stabilized upon light exposure. PMID: 21235648
  10. MYC2 and SPA1 act redundantly to suppress photomorphogenic growth in the dark. PMID: 20864543
  11. Results show that SPA1 and DET1 act together to control photomorphogenesis throughout plant development. PMID: 20041285
  12. Repression of light signaling by Arabidopsis SPA1 likely involves post-translational regulation of HFR1 protein accumulation. PMID: 15960622
  13. SPA1 regulates circadian rhythms and flowering time in plants. PMID: 16709190
  14. SPA1 protein can self-associate or interact with each other, forming stable heterogeneous group of SPA-COP1 complexes regardless of light conditions but exhibit distinct expression profiles in different tissues and light conditions. PMID: 18812498
